CURRENT SHORTS (2007)

"WHILE WE LIE SLEEPING"

A 16mm black and white silent short, dedicated to the valiant men and women who have served or are still serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"NOVEMBER 12 "

A companion short to While We Lie Sleeping, dedicated to the vets from WWI, WWII, The Korean and Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. My intention is to get permission from the city of New York to screen it in their honor on Veteran's Day, 2008.


"TANGLED UP IN BLUE"

A 16mm color short Serena Bocchino's latest collection of paintings, "The Catch Series," to be screened September 20, 2007 at the TRia Gallery opening in Soho, New York.

 

IN DEVELOPMENT (2007)

"DARA, A VALUABLE LIFE"

A five-part documentary mini series that will follow four or five women in the four stages of breast cancer. It highlights not only the emotional, spiritual and physical effects of this disease, but their courage, stamina, sense of humor, strength, vulnerability, fears, hopes, and desperate need for an advocate in the medical system.


"GHETTO SONG "

A powerful and insightful feature documentary on the grueling personal and professional struggles of Puff Hickson, an unknown female Hip-Hop artist from Harlem.


"BROTHERHOOD: 3 TOUGH COPS, 3 TOUGH CITIES, 24 HOURS"

A feature documentary and reality-based television series that parallels the lives of three altruistic cops from three of this country's toughest cities over 24 hours.


"THE 911 PROJECT"

A feature documentary advocating the church and God as a way of coping with the pain if the events of 9/11.


"DARK HIGHWAY"

A pilot short for a televsion series and feature film. This narrative short, based on actual events has award-winning actors, Kevin Conway, Paul Calderon and Glynn Turman and cinematographer, Ken Kelsch attached.

A 16mm B&W film created to capture the emotions, impact, loving and care that flowed from all of the people affected by the day of terror in New York City on September 11th.


"OBSERVER HIGHWAY REVISITED"

A fanciful and entertaining portrait of prominent New York painter, Serena Bocchino.


"P.I. SNAPS"

An award-winning, stylish, noir-esque "action based" documentary short on Dempster Leech, a private investigator, whose stomping grounds were the mean streets of New York City.


"LOVE"

Artist: Queen Esther. A stylized music video a la 1940's Hollywood.
