CURRENT SHORT

WHILE WE LIE SLEEPING

Deeply touched by the devastating effect this war continues to wreak on those who are sacrificing life and limb, I felt compelled to honor and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served and are currently serving in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. “While We Lie Sleeping” will contrast beautiful and poignant images of these veterans with iconic shots of small town America: children playing, Flags, small towns and country landscapes. All these images will represent a world caught as if in a dream: haunting, poetic, heroic, larger than life.

My intention is to, without words, touch the viewers enough so they take action to acknowledge these vets and the troops still fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I hope to show this film in as many high profile film festivals, museums (Andy Warhol, MOMA, etc), and other public venues as possible. In addition I would like to qualify it for Academy Award Nomination and submit it to the Library of Congress. I do not intend to garner any financial remuneration.
